Submission Guidelines for the 2010 Young Authors Anthology:

Young Authors

  1. All genres are welcome: poetry, fiction, children’s stories, non-fiction, and drama.
  2. We are open to reading all types, styles, and lengths up to 10,000 words. There are no editorial restrictions on form or content, although we are not interested in anything that would be considered pornographic or hatemongering.
  3. Young Authors must be between the ages of 14 – 19.  Public school, private school, and home-schooled students are encouraged to submit.
  4. Send plain text files by email. A cover letter is not necessary. Name the files so that they will be easy to identify among hundreds of others and won't get lost.
  5. Do not include your name on the actual submission. We ask that you send a separate plain text file with the title(s), author’s name, address, phone number, email address and author biography. For poetry, if there is any special formatting like centering or indents, describe them in this file.
  6. Submission deadline is January 15, 2010, with publication expected in May.
  7. Send all submissions to: bullbayreview@yahoo.com.
  8. If your submission is chosen, we will contact you by email.
  9. In order to keep production costs down, the Writers Studio will not be able to pay authors. Copies will be available for purchase on-line and at local businesses.
  10. All rights to chosen works will revert back to the author.
