Writers Studio South Boston, VA Community Authors Submission Guidelines for the 2010 anthology:   All genres are welcome: poetry, fiction, children’s stories, non-fiction, drama, etc. We are open to reading all types, styles, and lengths up to 10,000 words. There are no editorial restrictions on form or content, although we are not interested in anything that would be considered pornographic or hatemongering. Send plain text files by email. Name the files so that they will be easy to identify among hundreds of others and won't get lost. Do not include your name on the actual submission. Names are deleted from the piece before it is sent to the judges. We ask that you send a separate informal cover letter with the title(s), author’s name, address, phone number, email address and author biography. For poetry, if there is any special formatting like centering or indents, describe them in this letter. For an example of the cover letter click here. Submission deadline is September 1, 2010, with publication expected in December. Send all submissions to: inkwrit@yahoo.com If your submission is chosen, we will contact you by email. In order to keep production costs down, the Writers Studio will not be able to pay authors. Copies will be available for purchase on-line and at local businesses.
