GoodFellas

When GoodFellas came out in 1990, it was an instant classic.  Said by many to be "The Best Mob Movie Ever Made."   Yes, that includes The Godfather trilogy.  It's not that I condone the actions of the guys in this movie or anything, but I found it a very enjoyable movie that I have since seen many, many times.  The dialogue between the actors is superb, and there is always the underlying humor in many of the scenes.  Pesci is outstanding, as well as Liotta, who plays Henry Hill.  The movie is based on Hill's real life.   DeNiro, of course, is always brilliant, here playing the role of Jimmy "The Gent" Conway.  ("The Gent's" real-life name was Jimmy Burke.  He died in prison in 1993.)

Below is a picture of the real-life Henry Hill taken a few years ago.  He is has been in and out of the Witness Protection Program for many years since they were busted over 20 years ago.  Looks like he didn't take "The Gent's" advice about keeping quiet.  heheh...he ratted them all out.   Tough luck, Wiseguys.    :)
