Happy Valentine's Day

Waiting for the Draft

Another off-season of wondering what will happen next year.  We will see in the coming months which players are lost or replaced.  If the coaching staff and defense stays in place, we should be fine for the 2005 season.  The draft went well last year.  In a few months, we will see how it plays out this time.
As for Super Bowl XXXIX, I don't see Philly being able to solve the New England machine.  I would like to go out on a limb and pick the 'dog in the big game, but I don't see it happening.  New England 33, Philadelphia 20

Things are getting tight in the ACC
Well, Duke took their first loss last vs. Maryland.  Duke is probably a Top 10 team, but Top 3 was a stretch.   They just can't keep winning on the 3-ball and a shallow bench.  That little team from Chapel Hell took over first place for the time being, but hopefully they will falter...although they look very strong.   :(

ACC Basketball News
As is always the case, when ACC conference play begins, the top teams take a hit and fall in the national rankings.  Florida St. always seems to upset teams at home, and so far, Va. Tech has actually shown some promise (tougher schedule to come).  As the old saying goes, though, the cream will rise to the top by year's end.  I just hope the best conference in the nation can still get at least six teams in the NCAAs.  ...and watch out with BC coming in next year, the league will only get stronger.

             NEWSFLASH!
Virginia Tech is currently 4th in the ACC standings!  Holy Cow...hahha...some may say this is due solely to scheduling but beating NC State and Ga. Tech on the road are big wins.  Oh and btw, UVA is no longer winless!
